Why Line Keepers?

"I put these on Everything"

Usually the angler will bring the leader with a lure or fly back down near the reel and attach it to the reel, eyelet or rod hook location. This is fine during your fishing trip but for storage or transportation the hooks can get caught on about anything they touch. In addition the hard bend of the line at the end of the rod can put a kink in the line. With expensive fly lines, prolonged bending of the line can leave a permanent kink or damage the line over time during storage. Line Keepers work on braided line, mono, and Fluorocarbon fly lines up to 30wt.

"I am getting Some More of These"

When storing a Fly Reel a Line Keepers can be attached to the end of the leader and then tighten the reel body. This will allow your fly line to stay secure without unspooling. In addition the five different colors of Line Keepers can help with Identification of fly line size. Line Keepers can be used on any size leader up to 30 wt.

"Simple and Convenient"

For Fly lines that do not have a leader pass the loop end of the fly line through the eye on the pin and then back over the pin to secure. Then tighten the fly line to the reel. Storing your fly line without a loop leader attached will keep the welded loop from becoming distorted.

I wish I would have thought of this"

When used with a Bait Casting reel, simply attach the Line Keeper to the leader line and reel to the rod tip. For storage reel line in just before the reel and attach a Line Keeper. Line Keepers can be used with braided line also.

"Too Easy"

When securing loose line to a spinning reel that is still connected to the fishing rod, simply loop the leader line through the float and then back through the hole in the float and secure with a pin to form a loop that can be attached to the reel or rod handle. If the reel is being store then use this same loop method to attach the looped line to the reel arm or over the mounting leg on the reel.

"Simple and Practical"

On any fishing pole type, cut off the lure from the leader line and secure a Line Keeper to the leader. Then simply reel the line all the way to the pole tip. This method keeps the line neatly stored without the lure attached, reducing the risk of snagging on passengers, pets, or other gear. Line Keepers work on braided line also in the same simple methods.
